Tree Risk Assessment
Jason holds the International Society of Arboriculture's Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ). This certification is currently the accepted standard for assessing tree risk in urban areas and the urban/rural interface in British Columbia.
The TRAQ program evolved from the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the ISA's Tree Risk Assessor credential, developed jointly by the ISA and WorkSafe BC (WCB) in consultation with BC Hydro, the Wildlife and Danger Tree Committee of British Columbia, and numerous reviewers around North America.
Prior to the establishment of the ISA's Tree Risk Assessment Qualification, Jason held the PNW-ISA Tree Risk Assessor certification and Wildlife/Danger Tree Assessor certifications for Parks and Recreation Sites as well as for Wildland Fire Safety with the Wildlife Tree Committee of BC.
